I build things.

For more than twenty years that has meant networks and cyber security. Today it also means a private cloud of my own: seven servers I designed, secured and run end to end, carrying my family's mail, files and photos, healing routine faults on their own. Behind them sits a home network segmented the way a well-run company's should be. Most small businesses don't have infrastructure like it.

On top of it runs what I think of as an operating system for my life. It began with Andrej Karpathy's idea of an AI "second brain" and has grown far beyond it: thousands of documents, with AI agents working inside them alongside me. They research, keep the record, watch the systems, and bring me only what needs a decision. Agentic AI in daily use, not in a demo, and better every day.

Security and privacy are where I start, never features added at the end. It's why this page has no cookies or trackers, and why I run on open source wherever I can: I want to understand, own and fix what I depend on.

I keep my word, even when it costs me. And I believe technology is moving faster than we are growing as people, so I'd rather spend my time showing how it can be used well.
